2. Voluntary Donations
All donations made to SDR are voluntary contributions.
By making a donation, the donor confirms that the contribution is made willingly and without expectation of any personal benefit, service, product, or financial return from SDR.
A donation does not automatically provide the donor with membership, employment, services, benefits, or any other entitlement unless separately specified by SDR.
3. Online Donations
SDR may accept donations through online payment facilities provided by authorized third-party payment gateway/service providers.
The available payment methods may include, depending on the payment gateway:
- UPI
- Debit cards
- Credit cards
- Net banking
- Other payment methods supported by the payment gateway
The availability of a particular payment method may change depending on the payment service provider.
4. Payment Processing
When a donor makes an online payment, the transaction may be processed through a secure third-party payment gateway.
SDR may receive transaction information necessary to:
- Confirm the donation
- Maintain financial records
- Reconcile payments
- Issue applicable receipts
- Respond to payment-related enquiries
Sensitive payment credentials such as UPI PIN, ATM PIN, CVV, banking passwords, or card authentication information are not requested or intentionally stored by SDR.
5. Donation Confirmation
After a successful online donation, the donor may receive a confirmation message, email, receipt, or other acknowledgement depending on the payment system and information provided by the donor.
Donors should retain their transaction/reference number for future communication regarding the donation.
If the donation amount has been debited from the donor’s account but the donation is not confirmed, the donor should contact SDR with the relevant transaction details.
6. Donation Receipts
Where applicable, SDR may issue a donation receipt or acknowledgement using the information provided by the donor.
To issue an applicable receipt, SDR may require information such as:
- Full name
- Address
- Email address
- Mobile number
- PAN or other information required under applicable law
Tax benefits, including benefits under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, will be available only where SDR is legally eligible and the applicable statutory requirements are satisfied.
Donors should not assume that every donation is automatically eligible for a tax deduction.
7. Use of Donations
SDR aims to use donations in accordance with its charitable and organizational objectives.
Unless a specific restricted-donation arrangement has been expressly accepted by SDR in writing, donations may be utilized for the organization’s general activities and whichever eligible programs or requirements are considered appropriate by the organization.
SDR may also use a reasonable portion of donations for administration, program management, technology, communication, compliance, and other operational expenses necessary to carry out its activities.
8. Restricted Donations
If a donor wishes to contribute specifically toward a particular program, project, activity, or purpose, the donor should contact SDR before making the donation.
SDR will determine whether it is able to accept and administer such a restricted contribution.
If a specified purpose cannot reasonably be fulfilled, SDR may use the contribution for another closely related charitable purpose, subject to applicable law and organizational requirements.
9. Refunds and Failed Transactions
SDR generally does not refund successfully completed donations merely because a donor changes their mind.
However, a refund or correction may be considered in situations such as:
- Duplicate payment
- Technical error
- Incorrect amount charged due to a payment-processing issue
- Unauthorized transaction
- Amount debited but donation not successfully recorded
Any refund request should be submitted as soon as possible with supporting transaction information.
For complete information, please refer to our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
10. Fraudulent or Unauthorized Transactions
If you believe that a donation was made using your payment method without your authorization, please immediately contact your bank/payment provider and inform SDR.
SDR may request transaction details and supporting information to investigate the matter.
SDR is not responsible for unauthorized transactions arising from the donor’s failure to protect their banking credentials, device, payment account, OTP, UPI PIN, or other confidential information.
11. Donor Information and Privacy
SDR respects the privacy of its donors.
Personal information collected during the donation process may be used for:
- Processing donations
